Your first few seconds set the tone for the whole solve. These tips will help you hit the ground running.
-
Markers first. Scan every
=and×marker on the board. Flip and Mirror are the fastest deductions you have. Grab them all in case you forget to pick the low-hanging fruits. -
Densest area next. Don’t read the grid row by row. Jump straight to the row or column with the most information (filled cells plus markers) and work it first. Density means more constraints, which means more forced cells.
-
Bookends and Sandwich. Once the marker-driven deductions are done, scan for Bookends and Sandwich off any filled cells now on the board.
